Sometimes know as 'Pip', I live in Southsea with my wife and two kids (who often appear on my Instagram posts). I moved down to Southsea from Essex in 2003 and now call Southsea my home. This is my attempt at a blog.

Since 2001 I have been running my own website design and development business, Something Interesting. Now employing 4 people, we continue to go from strength to strength.

Currently, we are setting up a new company which will focus on app development for iOS & Mac OSX and some of our own projects. More will be posted about this as we go on.

Skills & Education

From a rather poor academic background, I like to think that I have managed to achieve a reasonable success. This is my main reason for joining the Skills & Education group for the Shaping the Future of Portsmouth.

Over the coming months and years, I hope to post information about what this group is doing to encourage youngsters from around Portsmouth & Southsea to stay in education and highlight the massive range of opportunities available to them once they leave education.

Southsea

Since I moved to Southsea, I am honoured to have met some wonderful people. It is a wonderful town with friendly people, great pubs and there is always something going on.

What still amazes me is the incredibly vibrant community of designers and artists it has. Once you start looking, you will see that the design community in Southsea (and Portsmouth) is creating quality work day in day out. Sometimes you don’t see it, sometimes you do, but it is out there if you go looking for it.

Every week I’m finding new and interesting artists from the local area, and I hope to feature them on future posts in the Southsea | Design category.
